Dance 4 Me is an annual dance competition with the goal of raising funds for a charity or cause. This year’s charity is Americares, a global disaster relief and health organization. Americares is supporting people and communities effected by the recent hurricanes in Puerto Rico.

Chai & Chat #2 – Parental Expectations

No matter how old we are, our parents will always have expectations for us, whether they pertain to our career paths, cultural values, or marriage. As South Asians and South Asian Americans, parental expectations can play a big part in our everyday lives. Do you agree that parental expectations influenced your values? We hope this initiative helps provide spaces for dialogue, context for individual experience, and opportunities for people to learn. Dance For Me, Northeastern’s annual charity dance competition is back! Join UTSAV, RSA, VSA, Barkada, ASU, NASO, KPL, and PDPsi for a dance-filled night of entertainment and watch to see which groups are crowned Best Competing Team and Best Student Group. Remember that YOU as the audience have the power to select Crowd Favorite. So take a break from studying, sit back, bring your friends, and enjoy a previously awarded Northeastern University Program of the Year!

Also, wear your ugliest sweater for our “Ugly Sweater Contest” and bring some holiday cheer as we celebrate the end of a great semester. Join us in UTSAV: The Amazing Race, an adventure around campus and a race to see which team will be first to the finish line! Perform tasks at various locations around campus to win challenges and solve clues to learn the next location. First team to finish wins a Tasty Burger gift card!

The race will begin in Curry Student Center, Room 340 at 6:30 pm. We’ll be explaining the rules and then handing out the first clue!
