President – Michael A. Trudeau | Political Science ’13
Michael is a veteran of the US Navy Submarine Force and is working toward a degree in Political Science with minors in Economics, History, and International Affairs. A member of the SVO for 2 years, he previously served as the SVO Secretary and assumed the role of President in July 2012. In Fall 2012 he was on co-op at the Kostas Institute for Homeland Security where he conducted research on implementing resilience in to society to counter disruptive risk. He is currently in his final semester at Northeastern.
Vice President – Adam Beatty | History/Finance ’14
Adam served as an Infantryman in the United States Marine Corps from 2006 to 2010 and deployed twice to Iraq. He has been a member of the Northeastern University SVO for two years, and has recently been appointed to the Student Veterans of America Student Council. The Student Council provides advice on the direction of Student Veteran initiatives nationally.
Secretary – Kim Annson | Criminal Justice ’13
Kim served as an Automated Logistical Specialist in the United States Army from 2004-2009, with two deployments to Iraq. She is working toward a degree in Criminal Justice and hopes to purse a federal career. She has been a member of the SVO for a year and assumed the position of Secretary in July 2012. Recently, she was on CO-OP with the Coast Guard Investigation Services (DHS) But is now in her final semester at NU.
Treasurer – Nic Pszenny | Leadership ’13
Nic served as a Communications Technician in the United States Marine Corps from 2003-2008. He is pursuing a B.S. in Leadership from the College of Professional Studies while working as a Field Service Engineer in the medical imaging industry. Nic has been the captain of our Huskies for Heroes Run to Home Base team for the past 2 years.
Andy McCarty | Veteran Services Specialist
For nearly six years, Andy McCarty has worked in Student Financial Services at Northeastern University. Prior to NU, he was employed in the Government and Community Affairs Department at Paramount Pictures in Hollywood, CA. From 2000-2004, Andy was enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed at the Edwards AFB Flight Test Center in California’s Mojave Desert where he served as coordinator to the Blue Eagles Honor Guard, the busiest base-level honor guard in the Air Force. He was deployed to Africa and Qatar in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
