Open Classroom Policy Series

Our signature program is the Open Classroom Series. Each semester we develop one graduate-level policy seminar and open it up to the public to participate. While the enrolled graduate students pay tuition, the public can come participate in a non-credit fashion free-of-charge. Within the theme for the semester, each week focuses on a particular topic addressed by one or two guest speakers — experts on the topic. The program goes from 6:00 to 8:00pm with the first hour devoted to the lectures and the second hour for questions and discussion.

For the current Fall Semester 2011, the Open Classroom will focus on the question of “What is or should be the role of government in the 21st Century?” The host faculty members will be Barry Bluestone, Nonnie Burnes, and Michael Dukakis.

Go to the Open Classroom section of this website to see the specific schedule and to RSVP.
