Tuition and fees for graduate programs in Law and Public Policy are $1,175 per credit hour for 2012-2013. This equates to $3,525 per 3-credit course. Total tuition for 37 credits equals approximately $43,475 [based on 2012-13 rates].

Financial Aid
Northeastern graduate students are eligible for the scholarships listed below. Award recipients generally must maintain full-time status, defined by the university as a minimum of 8 semester hours (SH) per semester. Most graduate courses carry 3 SH of credit, so full-time status means the student is typically registered for three courses, for a total of 9 SH.
- Dean’s Scholarship: Dean’s Scholarships are awarded to the incoming professional master’s students based upon academic achievement. To be eligible for consideration, a student must be in the top one third of the program’s incoming class. No separate application is required beyond the admissions application materials. Students selected for the Dean’s Scholarship will be notified by their academic department or Dean’s Office. Students who receive these forms of assistance may have reduced eligibility for need-based aid.
- AmeriCorps Scholarships: Up to five scholarships annually will be awarded to AmeriCorps alumni who enroll in one of our masters programs full-time. Each scholarship covers tuition for three semester credits (most courses are three-credits). In addition, the application fee is waived for all AmeriCorps alumni.
- Double Husky Scholarship: All NU graduates are eligible to receive a 25% Tuition Scholarship to attend a master’s program on a full-time basis. Visit the Double Husky Information Page for additional information on this program.
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Graduate Fellowship: The MLK Jr. Graduate Fellowships are administered through the African-American Institute. These awards are offered annually to African-American students in full-time graduate programs as long as the student demonstrates satisfactory academic progress and financial need as determined by Student Financial Services. Applicants must complete the financial aid process, as well as an application available from the African-American Institute.
- Veterans Programs: In addition to standard VA benefits, veterans may be eligible for additional financial aid through Northeastern. Veterans who have 100% eligibility under the Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) are eligible for additional aid through the Yellow Ribbon Program which makes up the difference between the NU tuition and the Chapter 33 benefit.
