Frank Morris

Background

On December 14, 1964, Frank Morris was awakened at 2 a.m. to the sound of glass breaking at his shoe store. Morris lived in a room adjoining the shoe store that he owned. Morris was held at gun point and forced to remain in the building as two to three men torched it. Morris died in the fire.

Legal Status

There is an extensive ongoing investigation of this killing by the Justice Department. On December 10, 2008 the FBI announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for the Morris murder.The Syracuse Law School Cold Case Initiative is representing the family members of Frank Morris in this matter.
