Alabama’s Jim Crow era murders under new spotlight

MOBILE, Alabama — A numberĀ of grisly racially-motivated killings that occurred in Alabama during the Jim Crow era are getting a fresh look.

The Civil Rights & Restorative Justice Project, a group affiliated with the Northeastern University School of Law, is examining the cases as part of a nationwide investigation into the murders that occurred in the South from 1930 to 1970.
