John Gabriel joined Northeastern University in April of 2006 as the Cooperative Education Faculty Coordinator for Chemical Engineering within the College of Engineering. He has over 30 years of Industrial Experience, the last 17 years working in Manufacturing and Development for Polaroid Corporation.
John received his B.S. in Chemcial Engineering from Northeastern University and his M.S. in Environmental Hazardous Waste Management from National Technical University. John possesses extensive experience in the corporate setting, working with many levels of business management. He has mentored and trained new hire ChemE’s and knows the value of the co-op experience. He will utilize his experience to advise students in their co-op job searches for meaningful Chemical Engineering positions.
John’s extensive experience in the corporate setting includes rising through the Polaroid Corpation from 1988-2006. John began as a Sr. Engineer then later became the Principal Manufacturing Engineer in 1992. Again moving up the corporate ladder, John became the Operations Manager in 2004 and the Sr. Principal Engineer in Manufacturing and Development through 2006.
